So many products today are designed with cost in mind rather than longevity, and when outdoor furniture is cheaply mass-produced from subpar materials, it often ends up in landfill.

At Royal Garden, we reduce waste by manufacturing products that last for years to come. By using high-quality materials and maintaining full control over the manufacturing process, we craft outdoor furniture that stands the test of time.

Sustainability is at the heart of our brand, and we’re guided by these core values in everything we do:

• Sustainable use of materials: All of our teak products hold FSC® certification, which means the wood comes from a responsibly managed forest. We ensure all goods are fully traceable and use recycled materials whenever possible – we also hold a Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certification.

• Transparency: As we control the supply chain, we also have complete control over our greenhouse gas emissions. Here are just a few examples of how we reduce our emissions: all of our factories are covered with solar panels, we use energy-efficient LED lights instead of incandescent bulbs and we reuse energy where possible along our manufacturing process. This means we can set and stick to our own carbon neutrality targets. For full transparency, our processes are independently audited by third-party companies, including Bureau Veritas, SGS and Intertek.
  

• Responsible logistics: We strive to create a more sustainable logistics chain by using electric vehicles and optimising delivery routes.

• Fair working practices: We manufacture all of our products at our own facilities, meaning we can guarantee fair wages and safe working conditions to all our staff.
  

• Sustainable packaging: We have undergone significant changes in our packaging, reducing the use of single-use plastics to zero across some of our products. We also use recycled cardboard for the majority of our packaging, including special protective sections where non-recyclable foam was traditionally used.
